Vita

Philipp Lilie studied physics with a focus on laser and plasma physics. He earned his doctorate in the field of surface physics, spending research stays at the renowned Brookhaven National Laboratory and at various European research institutions. Since being a child, Philipp Lilie has been involved with computers and data information systems, working on both hardware and software, a passion which he has retained to this day.

Since his admission as a German Patent Attorney in 2005 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2006, Philipp Lilie has been working in the field of intellectual property in which he advises clients both in obtaining technical property rights and in patent litigation. He is an experienced negotiator before the Opposition Divisions and Appeals Divisions of the German Patent Office and the European Patent Office as well as before the German Federal Patent Court.

In addition to representation in office actions and court cases, his work also focuses on advising and assisting clients in out-of-court negotiations and settlements.

Philipp Lilie is a trained business mediator (IHK).
